Chris (Random Deviations) recommended that I sneak in an entry to the Trifecta Writing Challenge:
‘Write a horror story in 33 words, without the words blood, scream, died, death, knife, gun, or kill.’
Devoid of something useful to fill a few hundred words with this weekend, the 33 words limit seemed attractive.
“Morbid lives entwined.
When ghouls leave behind,
They think they see what may not be.
Darkness looms, where Light should be.
In the growing shadows, perception blinds,
An eerie illusion befriends their mind.”

Quite a task to convey a story in 33 words. Even more so, when one is a zero in verses. Or story telling.
Let’s hope shivers run up a few spines. At least.
Haphazard Linkages 
The idea of it is is very original. I surprised myself by discovering that 33 words give you infinite possibilities. The task is tough, intriguing and dramatic.
Indeed, it is. I had no idea that 33 words is a both too long and too short to convey an idea. It is intriguing and fun.

I left a comment. No idea why it does not appear. Seems to be some problem with WP. Did you accidentally trash it, by chance? 🙂
uh huh, i noted the comment in hotmail, i did not even logged in in wordpress that day, next day when i logged in i did not see any comments, thats why i got a little confused whether i was correct or not.
it quite often happens with me atleast, i see comments in the hotmail, but when i check in the blogs the comments are not there or i post a comment in someone’s blog and when i later visit his/her blog i note that the comment has just vanished.
does it happens with you too?

Trapped underground. The light fades, as does the air. I hear a noise, sense movement. Lights go out. Missing home. A futile struggle. Last gasp. Legs twitch. Stillness. Silence. Darkness.

Yours is a very good effort, succinct story for the time challenged. I thought 33 was tough, 30 is tougher. You should probably try expanding your 30-word write-ups. I know a few gifted bloggers that you could come across, through it.
